Claremont Police Enforce Park Hours
Claremont Police Officers have been warning residents using city parks after hours. After noticing three police cruisers at Rosa Torres park yesterday evening, I inquired with the officers as to if anything of public concern was going on. Officers reassured me stating that there were just some people in the park after hours. I contacted the Claremont Police Department only to discover that residents are not actually ticketed for the offense, but rather advised to leave after dusk.
In related news, remember to be out of the Claremont Wilderness Park by dusk as officers are not so lenient on this one. A first offense ticket is $50 with subsequent offenses being $100 and $200 respectively.
